Program Description:
Services for Schools, Children, and their Parents
Columbia Regional Program provides a continuum of educational services. These services include consultation to parents, early intervention programs and school age teams, support through itinerant teaching, physical therapy, assistive technology, augmentative communication and classrooms for the deaf and hard of hearing.
Columbia Regional Program hires trained, certified staff with current experience and knowledge of trends, research and technology in each disability area to provide the high-level, specialized educational services that these unique students need.
Vision Services teaches students compensatory skills that allow them to access information that other students receive visually. Staff members travel to the home or school to provide the services: school-age children are helped in their district placements. The IFSP team determines whether preschool children are served at home and/or in a school. Vision services also assists classroom teachers.
