PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The focus of the Visually Impaired Program is Braille instruction as well as providing Braille and Large Print textbooks. We also transcribe print to Braille, produce tactile graphics, and loan adapted educational materials and equipment for classroom use. We consult and collaborate with the classroom teachers, therapists, and service providers to help make the curriculum accessible to students with visual impairments, including those with multiple disabilities. Orientation & Mobility instruction is provided to students who qualify.
